A candidate with no experience can walk through our doors, undertake a white card course and begin with one of our clients as a labourer.

Six months later, that same labourer can come back and do an introductory scaffolding course, which increases their job prospects and earning potential.

After another six months’ experience– that basic scaffolder can do their intermediate scaffolding ticket, which allows them to rise again.

This Training and Advancement process is repeated until that person who started as a labourer with no skills is a multi-ticketed and in-demand construction professional.

Group training individual care.

We’re excited to have big plans for the training space, and you should be too.

Our dedicated team have been diligently establishing our own Group Training Organisation.

YRT will operate as one of a small number of Aboriginal owned-and-operated GTOs, leading the market through having a Group ecosystem of RTO, GTO and Personnel Hire, to deliver Apprenticeships and Traineeships. We’ll have the ability to offer trainees and apprentices continuity of employment while they work toward completing their training. Additionally, we’ll effectively facilitate and review the transition of our First Nations candidates as they excitedly enter the workforce.

This initiative has been a passion project for our Founder and CEO Nathan Martin and is something that he has envisioned for our group since its first days of operation.

In Nathan’s words:

“A GTO has always been my dream. I want to give our mob and young people the best start in life – something our parents and old people didn’t get. I want them to get a trade, skills that set them up for life. That’s what YRT is going to do.”

Nathan Martin, Yalagan Group CEO

We’re looking forward to seeing Group Training come to fruition, and we’re excited to have you with us.
