Healing Country One Partnership at a Time

“We are very proud to work with Civmec and wholly endorse your organisation as one that ‘walks the walk’ when it comes to Indigenous engagement. This type of support not only helps our organisation prosper but creates benefits to our Indigenous employees, their families and wider communities, in particular those in remote local communities such as Njamal.”

– Nathan Martin, Director EWP Yalagan.

In recognition of NAIDOC week long time partners CIVMEC took the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate our ongoing partnership between two proud indigenous businesses, the East West Pilbara Group Pty Ltd (EWPG) and Yalagan Group Pty Ltd (Yalagan).

EWP Yalagan has been engaged as a subcontractor to Civmec on the Detail Earthworks and Concrete Processing Plant and Infrastructure package of works at Iron Bridge. Personnel range from labourers, trades assistants, cleaners, plant operators, riggers and construction trades such as carpenters. Of that 22, 17 are Indigenous, with 6 being local Njamal Traditional Owners.

The theme this year, Heal Country! calls for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction.

We are proud to partner with companies like CIVMEC and FMG that are working towards protecting our sacred sites for years to come.
