As a co-founder and leader of Yalagan Group, Sean Wilson has played a pivotal role in building an Indigenous business ecosystem that transforms lives. Since 2016, Sean, alongside Nathan Martin, has helped grow Yalagan into a national force for Training, Mentoring, Apprenticeships, Technology, and Cultural Connection—all while staying true to the company’s core value: "Yalagan" means "hard worker," and that ethos has never wavered.

Sean’s journey from building two large national groups and successful sale and ASX listing, and now with Yalagan began through a transformative mentor-mentee relationship within Tribal Warrior’s ‘Never Going Back Program’. Inspired by a joint vision vision to create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous communities, the two worked tirelessly to build what is now one of Australia’s most impactful Indigenous-led businesses.

Over the years, Sean has helped drive Yalagan’s expansion across multiple industries, building strong partnerships and delivering high-quality services that uplift individuals and communities. His dedication to empowering Indigenous and marginalised Australians is at the heart of everything Yalagan stands for—breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and fostering sustainable change.

Between 2022-2024, Sean welcomed Jessica Wilson and Scott McCartney as co-owners and Co-CEOs, further strengthening Yalagan’s leadership and national impact. With a team deeply committed to cultural integrity, economic empowerment, and social prosperity, Sean continues to drive the company’s vision forward, ensuring that Yalagan remains a force for change—now and for generations to come.

At Yalagan, we champion our people. We champion change.
