Yalagan Group we would like to relay a BIG thank you to the Brisbane Water
Secondary College for hosting us the other week as we discuss the future and
celebrate the graduating year 12s. Our two representatives, Jack and Nathan
took some time to talk to the newly graduating students about employment
opportunities moving forward and career prospects for future engagements.
Education and access to
education is such an important aspect of the evolution of our younger
generations, it is our goal here at Yalagan to provide adequate and sustainable
employment opportunities to all young Indigenious Australians, Brisbane Water
Secondary College is just one of the many ways in which Yalagan extends their
reach in order to create new and exciting opportunities to those willing to

months since inception, celebrating last week their very F I R S T successful candidate placement; Mr Rowland Garlett ! A
big congratulations to Rowlad for all his hard work in pursuit of this position
it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving and hard working candidate.

organisation we are so excited, and thrilled to be working alongside such
amazing individuals, helping the young Indigenous students and workforce of

feeling an overwhelming sense of pride and joy in our current achievements to

Over the course of last
week Yalagan and a few of our representatives such as CEO Nathan Martin, and
National Operations Manager Jack Fletcher were invited on behalf of Matchworks,
Matchworks is a community based, not-for-profit
employment services provider. They specialise in finding and skilling job
seekers from all backgrounds for businesses of all sizes at no cost. MatchWorks
is a community based, not-for-profit employment services provider. Having
placed over 150,000 successful and meaningful jobs to deserving candidates.
Yalagan group id looking forward to the
future and working more closely alongside organisations such as Matchworks in
pursuit of a common goal; sustainable employment. Events like this one are
those of which fill all of us here at Yalagan with such pride and
accomplishment in what we are all working towards! We can’t wait to get
involved further in the years to come with Matchworks !!

Yalagan group is proud to be a strong supporter of The Long Walk, a charity inspired by Essendon Legend Michael Long and his walk to Canberra in rally to get the lives of Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander people back on the national agenda.
The Long Walk raises much needed awareness to improve and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health, wellbeing and life opportunities, here at Yalagan it is our mission to through the utilisation of recruitment, and mentoring strategies actively improve the lives, and future of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers, students and those within the general community.
The charity achieves strong awareness for its cause through its
ability to attract such large numbers, creating events of which lead to
communication, and information exchange. It is in this that The Long Walk
educates its participants through cultural exchanges.
Here at Yalagan we would like to thank everyone for their
participation in making this event as great as it was, we’re honoured to have
attended this year and are already making plans for next years event

fortunate enough to attend this years 10th annual Supply Nation Connect Expo.
Exploring the power of an idea, this event attracted over 400 delegates from
all across Australia.
From innovates in creating new ideas and rethinking existing practices; working
together at examining the concept and development of the supplier diversity
movement across Australia and the globe, with a focus on ideas and how they
impact our businesses and communities.

these communities, and impact our local businesses through the delivery of
Indigenous orientated, value added solutions to modern day recruitment
